A Tightening Noose- Congress Sends Criminal Referral to FBI, Justice Department

Slowly, surely, inexorably, the noose begins to tighten around those who conspired to cover up the crimes of one 2016 presidential candidate while colluding to disparage another candidate and destroy his presidency.

Yesterday, April 18, 2018, eleven members of the House of Representatives sent a formal criminal referral to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, FBI Director Christopher Wray and U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah John Huber, recommending formal investigation into multiple violations of federal statutes, on the part of Former FBI Director James Comey, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Former Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, FBI Agent Peter Strzok, FBI Counsel Lisa Page, Former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates and Former Acting Attorney General Dana Boente.

The referral was a long time coming, but nevertheless exhibits that real criminal violations by Comey, Clinton, Lynch, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Yates and Boente that are substantiated through an internal investigation by Inspector General Michael Horowitz, as well as hearings by the House Intelligence Committee and, most recently, U.S. Attorney John Huber.

The referral covers James Comey’s improper decision to exonerate and absolve Hillary Clinton for violations of the espionage act, in releasing classified documents to unauthorized personnel, including the pedophile husband of Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner. Additionally, Comey’s conduct regarding his release through a third party to The New York Times, “secret and confidential” and classified information regarding his conversation(s) with President Trump was cited in the referral, as was his misleading testimony before the Senate Select Committee on the Judiciary and the House Judiciary Committee- violations of U.S. Code 18, Sections 1001 and 1621.

As for Hillary Clinton, listed in the referral were charges that the former Secretary of State violated federal election laws by disguising payments to Fusion GPS for the Steele dossier that was illegally used to obtain warrants from the FISC court to surveil members of the Trump campaign- a violation of U.S. Code 52, Sections 30101 and 30121.

Additionally, Clinton’s illegal use use of a private e-mail server and for her compromising “high-level” communications were specifically referred to in violations by Peter Strzok and Lisa Page of U.S. Code 18, Sections 1505 and 1505b for their part in eliminating evidence related to this compromise on the part of Mrs. Clinton.

Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch was cited for her decision to threaten with reprisal a former FBI Informant who attempted to come forward with revelations about payments made to the Clinton Foundation in exchange for the decision to approve the Uranium One deal, where 20% of U.S. uranium stockpiles to Russian interests- violations of U.S. Code 18, Sections 1505 and 1515b.

Former Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe violated US Code 18, Sections 1001, 1505 and 1621 based on at least four instances where he deliberately misled Inspector General Michael Horowitz while under oath, concerning his own leaks to media about the Clinton Foundation investigation.

Lastly, Comey, McCabe, and Former Acting Attorneys General Sally Yates and Dana Boente were all cited for illegally presenting false information, based on the discredited Steele dossier, to the FISC Court to obtain surveillance warrants against Carter Page- a Trump campaign operative. Doing so violated U.S. Code 18, Sections 242, 1505 and 1515b.

These violations are by no means the sum total of criminal violations on the part of these individuals but are nevertheless indicative of a “deep state,” whose lawlessness at the behest of Hillary Clinton and documented criminal conduct towards President Donald Trump, are not going to fade into oblivion the way that Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans hope that they will.

Furthermore, failure to act on this referral will ultimately give President Donald Trump all the justification he needs to fire Attorney General Sessions, FBI Director Christopher Wray and others, including Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, for failure to enforce federal law and for violating their own oath of office.

The only thing standing in the way of prosecuting these “deep state” operatives is the potential Democrat takeover of the House of Representatives in the 2018 mid-term election, in which case all bets are off and the guilty will go unpunished.

That aside, the tick-tock of criminal prosecution against these individuals goes on and an ever-tightening noose beckons around the necks of those who used the power of the federal government to carry out the biggest scandal in American history.

Stay tuned…
