Pelosi’s Poisoned Pill of Impeachment
Well, she’s done it…she’s actually done it…
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has thrust upon the country (not to mention the Congress, her Democrat party and the majority it presently holds) the poisoned pill of impeachment for all of us to swallow.
The formulation of this poisoned pill began more than three years ago, by deep-state insiders wishing to concoct a toxic insurance policy in the unlikely event that attempts to sabotage his campaign would fail to prevent Donald Trump from being elected. Former FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok confirmed this in a text message sent to his paramour, former FBI Attorney Lisa Page, in September 2016 when she informed him that President Obama wanted to be updated on their activities in these regards.
On election night, these efforts were put into motion in a last-minute, desperate effort to prevent Trump’s inauguration, when the Obama Administration continued illegal wiretapping and other means of surveillance on President-elect Trump and his campaign associates. All of this was an effort to find anything that would support their concocted fantasy that Trump had somehow colluded with Russia to deny Hillary Clinton’s almost-certain election. Hence the inception of a false Russian collusion narrative that led to the Mueller Investigation that following spring.
When former Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from an investigation into alleged collusion with the Russian government, a succession of former Deputy Attorneys General, Sally Yates, Dana Boente and Rod Rosenstein all signed off on FISA warrant requests to spy on lower level associates of the Trump campaign. Each of them knew fully-well, along with FBI Director James Comey and Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, that the Steele dossier, which was at the heart of the FISA Warrant request, was nothing more than unsubstantiated dirt on Trump, paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC. Yet each failed to disclose any of that to the FISA court, which was presided over by an Obama-appointed judge. Former FBI Director James Comey then met with the new president and lied to his face when he told Trump that he was not being investigated, when in fact he was.
In the two-and-one-half years which followed, a $40 million investigation by Clinton and DNC lawyers, under the protective reputation of former FBI Director Robert Mueller, did its level best to find evidence in this “collusion concoction.” Yet, despite these efforts, they failed to find anything that would support the allegation. Instead, they composed a list of ten instances whereby the Trump administration supposedly obstructed justice in the Mueller investigation, despite the fact that over one million documents were turned over to Mueller’s team and the fact that President Trump told the members of his administration to fully cooperate with the investigation, itself. Keep in mind that this investigation was an investigation into something that never even happened.
This fall, Adam Schiff’s House Intelligence Oversight Committee then paraded a series of Anti-Trump apparatchiks in the State Department who have expressed their animus against President Trump. In their testimony, which essentially outlined why they didn’t approve of Trump’s handling of a July 2019 phone call to the newly-elected Ukrainian president, in that he was somehow leveraging financial and military assistance to the Ukrainian government in exchange for dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, all failed to provide first or even second-hand evidence that the president actually committed “bribery, treason, high crimes or misdemeanors,” offenses that are impeachable under the United States Constitution.
If that weren’t bad enough, on Wednesday, December 4th, Jerry Nadler’s Judicial Oversight Committee brought in three extremely leftist constitutional “scholars” who dispatched their Anti-Trump vitreous in an effort to try and rationalize the irrational effort to impeach Trump, having to fall back on the Mueller report in spewing their angered venom at the direction of the president. So desperate were they to spread their poison, they even invoked President Trump’s thirteen-year-old son, Barron Trump, which prompted a tweeted reply from First Lady Melania Trump:
“A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics. Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering and using a child to do it.”
Another constitutional scholar, one who also voted for a succession of Democrats in recent presidential elections, Jonathan Turley, was brought in by Republican members of Nadler’s committee to testify that proceeding with impeachment for these reasons, and at this hurried pace, would irrevocably harm the United States, its presidency and the sanctity of presidential elections.
To wit, these efforts have already resulted in NATO leaders making fun of the president at a cocktail party during the NATO summit in Great Britain and has created strain on the president’s ability to conduct foreign policy. Bear in mind that overseas, most people are only able to get American news from CNN, and it is their overtly-biased coverage of Trump’s presidency that feeds the misconception that Trump is a weakened president who might not even finish out his first term, let-alone being re-elected to a second term. It is this media bias that completes the circle of Obama-Clinton-Democrat-media collusion in the attempted coup d’état and subsequent destruction of Trump’s presidency.
So, this is the poison that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has prescribed for an angry, divided country that is the illegitimate offspring of false accusations, an abiding hatred of a president who had the nerve to beat the Clinton dynasty, the Bush dynasty, the Obama legacy, and who seeks to drain the lurid swamp of corruption that has taken hold of our nation’s capital going back decades. In railroading the president towards a trial in the United States Senate, for an impeachment built upon innuendo, opinion and disdain for a duly-elected U.S. president, the chances of Democrats retaining the House in next-year’s general election have now been lowered to somewhere between “slim” and “nil,” with “Slim” having just left town. Far worse, at this Christmas season, the poisoned pill of impeachment has been dumped into the digestive tracts of all Americans, from all sides of the political equation, who will only be further divided and angered as a result.
Nice job, Democrats…nice job.
